My eldest daughter just turned 17, my emotions are mixed. I’m happy and sad at the same time. Parenthood is a scary journey, I can remember when she called me daddy for the first time. The reality of being solely responsible for another living being slapped me in the face. I have been forever changed since.
Loosing all of my families photos in Hurricane Katrina, has strengthened my love for my family. I appreciate time more, understanding how precious those memories are to me. Also my passion for photography, preserving, current, and future memories.
But none the less she is growing up, but she will always be my baby.
